Our Kitchen had needed a counter update in a bad way for some time also a new dishwasher the picture on the right is before I did the update. The counter had a two inches gap from the wall. The counter wall plug was broken. (didn't know till I was taking it apart)With our home being over 100 years old I'm trying to update it but still keep the charm. My plans were to drive to Ikea and buy on of there counter top till I thought about our local Re Store where I have found many things for our house.

I found a counter top that was never cut for a sink and was the size we needed.
The price was perfect at

$30.00
The counter was on a angle so I knew That would be one of my top things to fix after I took out the old counter. The old counter was never properly put together.
My first job was to put a new plug outlet then the fun of cutting the sink

I have done lots of repairs but this is my first time installing a dishwasher and redoing a counter top. I will not say it was easy but I feel so proud of how it turned out. I did have the help of my Mom taking care of the boys. When I pull out my tools the first person that will grab them is Ben my oldest son I love watching him copy what I'm doing. I know if I keep encourage I'm going to always have a helper.
